The Career & Technical Education (CTE) program provides students in grades 9-12 with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in the future careers and to become lifelong learners. Students who follow a CTE Pathway will complete their initial courses online and will then have opportunities to connect their learning to the real world through:

Education and Training
The Education and Training Pathway is ideal for those who love working with children and want to explore careers in education. The classes provide foundational knowledge about human growth and development, with opportunities for hands-on experience as a teacher’s aide or child care assistant at the Sheridan AllPrep Children’s Center. Whether aiming for a role as a teacher, administrator, or support staff, this pathway is the perfect starting point.
Health Sciences
Our high school health science program is designed to help students explore diverse careers in the healthcare field while building a strong foundation for future success. With over 25 engaging courses, students gain knowledge in key areas such as public health, nursing, medical terminology, physical rehabilitation, mental health, and health science fundamentals. The program emphasizes career exploration and practical skills, preparing students for further education and careers in the health sciences.
Business Marketing
The Marketing Pathway at SHAPA offers a comprehensive journey through various aspects of business and marketing, including courses like Introduction to Business, Sports Marketing, Real Estate Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. This pathway requires commitment and dedication, preparing students for both starting their own business and contributing to existing companies. It equips students for the challenges and opportunities in a career in business or marketing.
